A customer care representative from an AT&T company suggests that the next gen iPhone, whether it be a iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, will not be released in June or July like it usually does. Here are his exact words:
'Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe, though there will be a newer version in the future. Unfortunately, we have not been given a release time for the new phone. We will release this information on our website when it is available to us.'
The information that we've been getting is that if not June or July then it is very likely to be released in September. Sources suggest that it will have a wider screen reaching the edges of the phone, from end to end. If the above words from the rep are not guaranteed to be true...but it's there to help influence your decision on a smartphone if you're looking for an upgrade soon.
